Maxol is proud to play its part in pioneering the use of bio-fuels in the Irish market. We ensure that a portion of all motor fuels placed on the Irish market are produced from renewable sources, such as Ethanol and Biodiesel.
We have also introduced the Maxol ‘Fuels You Can Trust’ seal – you can be assured that Maxol service stations only provide Maxol fuels, and that they come from a legitimate source.
Our retailers, across the island of Ireland, participate in a traceability programme; pledge their ongoing commitment to purchase their fuel exclusively from Maxol; and, permit to the testing of random fuel samples conducted by an independent company.

Environmentally friendly
Maxol is committed to providing environmentally friendly fuels across its entire network. In order to meet our environmental obligations, we use a variety of suppliers to source our petrol, diesel and their biofuel content.
The inclusion of biofuels from renewable sources enables Maxol to meet the requirements of the Irish Governments Biofuel Obligation Scheme and the UK’s Renewable Transport Fuels Obligation legislation and the latest requirements of the European Standards Specifications: EN228 for petrol and EN 590 for diesel.
