1. It gets a killer line up every year.
A mix of big international names and home grown talent means Indie has one of the best line-ups going. This year sees Basement Jaxx, Kodaline, the Dandy Warhols and more grace its stages. That's a pretty solid line-up!
2. It has won awards for being awesome!
Most recently, Indie was nominated for Best Small Festival in the European Festival Awards. We aren't the only Indie fans it seems.
3. The location is amazing.
Deer Farm in Mitchelstown is transformed each year for Indie. There's plenty to see and do, with several stages and tents to explore.
4. Camping is the best craic!
There's nothing like a good weekend camping out with friends. Add great music, food and vibes to get a weekend to remember!
5. Podpads
If camping isn't your thing, don't worry – go for a podpad! For the first time this year there'll be podpads at Indie. These are fancy camping facilities with their own shower and toilet. Talk about bringing glamping to the next level!
6. Indie is kid friendly.
With a family campsite and loads of fun stuff for kids to do, your young ones will love Indie. Get them hooked on festivals early, they'll thank you later for it.
7. There's loads of non-music stuff to do.
There's always plenty to do and see at Indie. It's not just music – there's great comedy, arts and entertainment every year. You definitely will want to see it all!
8. The food
You're gonna get hungry after all that dancing, but luckily Indie always has a fantastic selection of food and drink vendors. Sit in the sun and enjoy what's on offer – there's something for every eater – even the picky ones!
9. The unexpected
You never know what's going to happen at Indie, you just have to be there to experience it. Like when Scroobius Pip did a little "couch-surfing" at his set with Dan Le Sac last year.... Were you there?
10. The memories
When you go to a music festival you get an experience that money can't buy. Indie is set to be one of the best summer festivals in Ireland again this year, so make sure you round off your summer with this fantastic weekend.
