CARRICKFERGUS RUGBY CLUB SECURES SPONSORSHIP DEAL WITH MAXOL
Maxol has announced a three year sponsorship deal with Carrickfergus Rugby Club 1st XV.
The deal, which was launched today, Saturday 15 September 2001, at the Club grounds at Woodlawn, Carrickfergus, will run until 2004 and includes both financial and promotional support.
Brian Donaldson, Group Marketing Manger, Maxol Oil Limited, said: "Maxol is delighted to be able to support Carrickfergus Rugby Club. As a local company with over 350 forecourts throughout Ireland we have always had a strong association with local rugby. The game epitomises many of the skills and attributes we admire competitiveness, discipline, a sense of fun and above all teamwork.

The sponsorship represents a further development of Maxol's relationship with Carrickfergus Rugby Club. Terence McCracken, Maxol’s Commercial Business Manager is a key member of the 1st XV squad and has reported that the sponsorship has already had a positive effect on the morale of the team. He hopes that this will be translated into results on the pitch.
Carrickfergus Club President, Bill Crymble, said: "The club is very pleased to secure this sponsorship deal and I am looking forward to a long and successful partnership with Maxol. I speak for all of us at the club in thanking Maxol for its investment and trust that we can reward the partnership with a strong performance in both the league and cup competitions this year."
Playing in the highly competitive Qualifying League 2, Carrickfergus Rugby Club has enjoyed a number of successes over the past year under the coaching of Stuart Hooks and are looking forward to the start of the new season having already achieved pre season victories over Malone and Portadown.
