Maxol FuelNet Scoops InterTrade Ireland Award

MAXOL FuelNet Scoops InterTrade Ireland Award

Maxol FuelNet picked up the Best Large Business North & South accolade at the second annual InterTrade Ireland All Island Trade & Business Awards, which took place at the Four Seasons Hotel in Dublin on Thursday, 22nd May. The Award was in recognition of Maxol FuelNet’s efforts in establishing strong cross-border links and subsequent growth.

The All Island Trade & Business awards were established in 2002 to reward companies for best practice in North-South trading and sought to recognise those that achieved business success by trading in both parts of the island.  The Awards are held in conjunction with the IBEC – CBI Joint Business Council.

An Tánaiste Mary Harney was the guest of honour at the event which was attended by over 150 business people from North and South.

Commenting on the Best Large Business Award, Terry McNeill, Sales Manager, Maxol Direct said:  With the launch of Maxol FuelNet in July 2001, we established an ‘easy to use’ and efficient fuelling service for commercial fleet operators.  Since then it has become the fastest growing diesel network in Ireland so it is an honour to have our achievements recognised here at the All Island Trade & Business Awards”.

Speaking at the Awards ceremony, An Tánaiste, Mary Harney, said:

“Cross Border sales are still going strong and last year the value of North/South trade was almost €3 billion.  Companies in all parts of Ireland should not ignore the vast benefits that cross-border trading offers.”

Maxol FuelNet is part of the Maxol Group, Europe’s leading independent oil company.
