LEADING INTERNATIONAL CONVENIENCE RETAILERS VISIT MAXOL SANDYFORD AS PART OF EUROPEAN BEST IN CLASS STUDY TRIP

Two days prior to the visit, Maxol Sandyford was a finalist, in the Insight NACS International Convenience Retailer of the Year Awards 2013. The NACS Awards, held in London, is the only event to recognise the best convenience retail forecourt formats from around the world with retailers representing Argentina, Australia, Dubai, Ireland, Norway, Poland, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK making the grade.

On foot of Maxol Sandyford Service Station's recent success in the prestigious 'Insight NACs International Convenience Store of the Year Awards', a 30 strong delegate group from the Insight NACs conference visited Maxol Sandyford to experience the new retail format for themselves. These NACs delegates represented a cross section of many of the world's leading convenience retailing companies and brands. Their visit was part of aEuropean study trip tour of the best in class in European convenience retail stores. On arrival on Friday 27th September, they were firstly welcomed and subsequently briefed on Sandyford's many innovations by The Maxol Group's CEO Tom Noonan, CFO Brian Donaldson, Tony Harnett, Maxol Sandyford licensee and other members of Maxol's senior management team.

Speaking about the significance of the study trip to Maxol Sandyford, Tony Harnett commented, "I am extremely proud that we have been selected for this visit by such well known retailers from around the world. It provides tremendous encouragement for my staff and me. Like Maxol we are a family run business at Maxol Sandyford and to have the opportunity to show case our retail forecourt convenience offering is very humbling. When we opened Sandyford in December last year, I never dreamed that we would make the finalist for theInsight NACS Awards, but here we are, now recognized on the world's convenience retailing stage. My staff are over the moon and we are now even more motivated to improve upon the high standards that our customers have come to expect at Maxol Sandyford. Our commitment to Maxol is even stronger and I look forward along with my family to building our business relationship with them well into the future".
