Last Thursday 4th September, Maxol, Ireland's leading family-owned fuel and convenience retailer celebrated the official launch of its new service station in Ballincollig, Co. Cork. Cork Senior Hurling Manager Jimmy Barry Murphy joined Licensee Donal Spillane and his team for a family Fun Day from 12 noon to 3pm to mark the occasion.
Entertainment on the day included; a live DJ, driving simulator, puppet show, face painting and tasty treats, fresh from Maxol's new food brand Moreish. Not only that, but customers who registered online at http://www.maxol.ie/fuelsaving also received vouchers for 10cent off each litre of fuel. Customers who availed of the Deluxe/Top programme wash from the MaxWash carwash received a free 21 LED Torch. There were also special offers on everyday groceries in the Maxol MACE store as part of the launch.
Speaking about Thursday's Family Fun Day, Donal Spillane, Maxol Ballincollig Licensee said, "We are excited to officially launch the new station to new and existing customers. Maxol's new forecourt image makes a big impact. We want to celebrate this investment with our customers and local community members, whose business we rely on every day".
The Moreish café and seating area provides a new destination for delicious food in Ballincollig, served to eat in or on the go. The Moreish menu offers the specialty sandwich range consisting of, The Brunch Buster, Turkey Hero, Moreish Club, Crunchy Tuna Club and The Italian Chicken Fresco. At Moreish you can also create your own sandwich with the 'Three Steps to Food Heaven'. Customers create their perfect sandwich, choosing freshly baked bread, a special sauce and their choice of fillings. The Moreish range of fresh and healthy food options includes salad boxes and fresh fruit pots, and the product lines will be extended in the months ahead. Moreish has partnered with Bewley's for its coffee and teas and Moreish at Maxol Ballincollig is the first café with a full Barista coffee offer.
Since the end of 2012 Maxol has embarked on an ambitious investment strategy to expand its network of service stations and roll out its new forecourt look. Maxol's new positioning line "At The Heart of It" was introduced to emphasize the Group's new community focused business model.
