Forecourt exclusive brings lightning fast healthy food
Maxol, Northern Ireland’s leading family owned forecourt and convenience retailer brought the first Freshly Chopped to Northern Ireland and the UK when it welcomed the franchise to its newly built services at Maxol A26 Tannaghmore in May.
The healthy food company, which gives customers a lightning fast chopping experience, offers a theatre of food and a unique and healthy fast food range that includes generously portioned salads, wraps, sandwiches and soups that are made to order for the customer and served quickly.
Staff are expertly trained in the use of special mezzaluna blades to ensure all the delicious salads and wraps can be prepared quickly, consistently and efficiently to maximise flavour.
Following the successful launch at Maxol A26 Tannaghmore in May, two new Freshly Chopped franchises are planned for Rosepark Service Station in Belfast and at Glenabbey Service Station in Glengormley which is to undergo a major refit and will also see Moreish, Maxol’s own ‘Fresh Food’ deli introduced to the site. The new food offers are scheduled to open before the end of this year.
Maxol plans to open further Freshly Chopped franchises at other locations in its Northern Ireland network over the next 12 months.
Freshly Chopped was first opened in 2012 with an outlet on Baggot Street in Dublin and prides itself on providing well balanced, nutritious meals to its customers, selling upwards of 20,000 salads a week across the island of Ireland. With a ‘Skip the Queue’ option also available via Freshly Chopped’s online app, customers can order ahead of their designated collection time and have their meal waiting for them when they arrive on site.
