Wednesday 2nd September: Today, Maxol Hightrees service station (Donaghadee) donated £750 in aid of the Donaghadee Lifeboat Raft Race which ran last month (Saturday 1st August) in support of the RNLI*. The charity, whose volunteers provide a 24-hour service and rescue around the coast of Northern Ireland, are committed to saving lives at sea and Maxol is dedicated to supporting this worthy cause.
For nearly a century, Maxol has been part of local life in Northern Ireland, whether that’s through fuelling people’s lives or supporting local initiatives, and the leading forecourt convenience retailer has been a proud sponsor of the RNLI Lifeboat Festival for the past threeyears. This year marked the tenth anniversary of the festival and there was a host of fun-filled activities and entertainment on land, on the sea and in the air for all the family to enjoy.
Kevin Paterson, Maxol’s Retail Manager (NI) commented on the sponsorship: “At Maxol we’re proud of the role the Maxol Hightrees Team plays in the Donaghadee. Our company motto is to be at the heart of it in all of the communities in which we operate and we are delighted to be able to support this worthy charity and their representatives in their fundraising activities.
“The RNLI does an outstanding job, patrolling our waters and ensuring we are safe while at sea. We can all rest easy knowing that they are at our beck and call if we are in need of help and, for those reasons, we see that our investment in them is invaluable to the wider community.”
As part of the brand’s corporate social responsibility, Maxol is committed to building relationships with customers by supporting local events and activities that bring them closer to the wider community, and help to put them at the heart of it.
