Maxol, Ireland’s leading family-owned fuel and convenience retailer entertained 80 guests from their top performing service stations who participated in the TLC (Today's Local Champions) Awards Scheme at an evening event in Dublin on Friday 7th June. Maxol operators from across Ireland enjoyed 5 star treatment at The Marker Hotel followed by a visit to The Lion King Musical in The Grand Canal Theatre.
The Maxol Awards programme is a much contested scheme across the network of 225 Maxol service stations in Ireland. Its objective is to promote and recognise excellence in retail standards and customer care. From its inception in the early 1980’s the scheme has been developed and has become one of the most important accolades for Maxol retailers and their staff to win. Results are based on staffs' overall performance in Mystery Motorist visits and formal inspections of the standards and presentation of the service station business.
Commenting on the excellent performance of all winners attending Friday nights' event, Brian Donaldson, Chief Operating Officer of The Maxol Group commented, "Congratulations to all our local champions who have continued to provide top class forecourt and retail services to customers throughout the country. Given today’s challenging economic climate it has never been more important to maintain these high standards. We are very proud of their hard work and dedication to the Maxol brand and feel an evening such as this is fitting to show our appreciation. Our winning retailers are very much ‘at the heart of it’ in each of their local communities ".
