The Maxol Group, Ireland’s leading family-owned forecourt and convenience retailer has invested €400,000 in the refurbishment of Maxol Kingsmeadow, Co Waterford, leading to the creation of nine new jobs for the area.
The substantial investment is part of Maxol’s nationwide investment strategy and has enhanced the range of services on offer, including the introduction of ROSA coffee, Maxol’s very own speciality brew, a new Maxol Deli offering a wide range of healthy menu options as well as the opening of Maxol’s seventh Abrakebabra.
The company celebrated the launch with one of the world’s most famous magicians, Waterford man, Keith Barry, who entertained and mesmerised guests as they enjoyed complimentary treats from Abrakebebra.
Speaking of the investment, Siobhan Grimes, Head of Retail, The Maxol Group said:
“Maxol Kingsmeadow opened in 2014 and has become a central part of the local community in Waterford. As well as creating nine new jobs for the area, this recent investment means there is now a wider range of healthy menu options from our new Maxol Deli, a new rotisserie offering freshly cooked chickens and of course the delicious menu offered at Abrakebabra. Our new ROSA coffee has already proved to be a big hit and we now have seating for 24 people, which is ideal for those with a little more time to spare. It’s important to us all at Maxol to be at the heart of the community and I’d like to thank the team at Maxol Kingsmeadow for all their hard work in achieving this.”
Valdas Kirelis Licensee of Maxol Kingsmeadow, commented:
“The upgrade to our service station means we can continue to meet the needs of each of our customers to a high standard, whether they are grabbing a coffee or doing a top up grocery shop on the way home from work. We had a great turnout for our reopening and look forward to welcoming both new and returning customers in the year ahead to experience our improved service offering.”
